PATNA, India - Farmers in an eastern Indian state have asked their unmarried daughters to plow parched fields naked in a bid to embarrass the weather gods to bring some badly needed monsoon rain.

- I was born of Jamaican immigrants in the cultural soup of Miami, Florida. I grew up with a Mama speaking a language made up of metaphor and story, which influenced my ability to see the world as images. My creations are archetypal, earthy and imaginative. They extend from the passion of my family’s rich heritage and my unique upbringing of growing up at the flea markets and within the homes of the elderly.
