"I'm at that point in the day where I'm tired of myself, she said, so if you don't mind, I'm going to be someone else until bedtime & we had a lovely time together, my new friend & I"
I was born of Jamaican immigrants in the cultural soup of Miami, Florida. I grew up with a Mama speaking a language made up of metaphor and story, which influenced my ability to see the world as images. My creations are archetypal, earthy and imaginative. They extend from the passion of my family’s rich heritage and my unique upbringing of growing up at the flea markets and within the homes of the elderly. The raw emotion of the story within is the vital element to my work and the impulse behind why I create.
